Virginia Bald Eagle conservation plan
Abstract
The overriding objective for Bald Eagle management in Virginia is to provide for the long-term viability of the species in the state. In Virginia, this includes both the resident breeding population and the various migrant populations that depend on the state during their non-breeding seasons. Sub-objectives include 1) to ensure that there is enough habitat available to sustain eagles in Virginia and 2) to ensure that demographic processes are in a range to allow for population maintenance.
