Goodbye, You: Stories of Loss and Life
Ho, Marissa

Abstract
When we think of loss, it's easy to think of loss as just the loss of a friend, a colleague, a family member. But loss spans more than just the physicality of losing someone or something. People undergo innumerable amounts of loss throughout their lives, whether they are conscious of it or not. In life, we also lose things that we can’t see as clearly, like our identities, our childhoods, our dreams, and even ourselves. This short story collection asks the reader to contemplate several questions about loss while confronting them head on. Who do we become when we experience loss? How do our lives change? And what then remains?
