About This Journal
The CAA Undergraduate Research Journal is a peer-reviewed journal for undergraduate work of the highest caliber. It ceased publication in 2015. Its goals were to add to the body of knowledge in all fields and to showcase the outstanding scholarship of undergraduates. It provided a forum for students to publicly share their research, offering opportunities for exposing their work to potential graduate programs and employers. By making use of student reviewers, the journal also provided the opportunity for undergraduates to participate in the scholarly publishing process.
The Colonial Academic Alliance Undergraduate Research Journal accepted individual and collaborative research reports, formally written by the undergraduate students while enrolled as an undergraduate at a CAA school. Faculty-mentored research papers and theses from all disciplines were considered. Any undergraduate student could submit work to this journal, and to be eligible for publication, the research had to be faculty mentored. Submitters to the journal had to own the copyright to the work being submitted.
This is an open access journal meaning that all content was freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. Article authors retain copyright to their work.
The submission deadline was June 1. The Journal published once a year, in the fall.
