Abstract
This is a joint presentation by the North Carolina Department of Natural Resources and Community Development, Division of Marine Fisheries (DMF) and the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS), Department of Ichthyology.
It is for the period October 1, 1977 to September 30, 1978, and is the second of three annual reports for the P. L. 89-304 project "Biology and Management of Mid-Atlantic Anadromous Fishes Under Extended Jurisdiction."
The presentation will include the alewife (Alosa pseudoharengus), blueback herring (Alosa aestivalis), hickory shad (Alosa mediocris), American shad (Alosa sapidissima), striped bass (Morone saxatilis), Atlantic sturgeon (Acipenser oxyrhynchus) and the shortnose sturgeon (Acipenser brevi rostrum).
