Abstract
Rivers & Coast is a periodic publication of the Center for Coastal Resources Management, Virginia Institute of Marine Science. The goal of Rivers & Coast is to keep readers well informed of current scientific understanding behind key environmental issues related to watershed rivers and coastal ecosystems of the Chesapeake Bay.
Description
This issue highlights how the Center for Coastal Resources Management at VIMS uses drones in combination with other research techniques to collect field data. illustrating potential uses of this technology, information about system requirements, pilot qualifications, plus image and data processing will hopefully inspire others to develop more drone applications in Virginia’s coastal zone.
