Thanks to Fielden, Darlene, Nancy, and John Dickerson for unfailing support and to the William and Mary women’s rugby team for providing an outlet to relieve stress. Thanks to the Department of Geology at the College of William and Mary for funding this research. Thanks to all of the students, faculty and friends that comprise the Department of Geology at the College of William and Mary, which is without a doubt the best department on campus; special thanks to the geo-seniors for computer help and comic relief. Most of all, I would like to thank Dr. Brent E. Owens, my thesis advisor, for countless hours of time spent guiding me every step of the way.
