Abstract
Long term research endeavors often demand extensive efforts from many contributors. This thesis describes a contribution to such a research process. Chiu et al. (in progress) began working on developing a comprehensive sediment modeling system for the Australian subcatchment Weany Creek in the early 2010s. The need for maintenance on the associated, beta build of the computational implementation of this modeling system has persisted since 2013, obstructing further work. This thesis has been produced to compliment the significant undertaking of performing this necessary diagnosis and clearing the path for continued efforts.
